Unique sea-worn and driftwood effects on the timber has produced superb results., visit stevebaddeley.co.uk  or dockwood.co.uk to see what can be created. I supply boatyards with blocks average 2 feet long 12 inch square at £6 each, blocks for plinths in colombian pine oak, elm, chestnut and douglas fir. some of the beautiful things that are made from my reclaimed timber never cease to amaze me. the growth rings in some beams I sell are so tight that theres barely more than a millimetre between them. this proves that it was grown  a long time ago when the climate was different and there was less carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, signified by each yearly growth ring being so slight. some of the colours created in the timber by metal fixings and outdoor weathering and the tanning in the oak give over real patina and history that cannot be faked. when used next to original timbers my reclaimed comlumbian pine blends in perfectly.
